Working at height

This training is for anyone working at a height of more than 2 metres. Whether it's a ladder, a roof or scaffolding, this work involves a risk of falling, and staff must be specially trained and equipped with PPE appropriate to their activity.

Working at height with fall protection

The training consists of a theoretical part and a practical part on the roofs of the UNIL. This training complies with the OPA (art.8) and SUVA directives for working at height.

  • Mandatory training for anyone working over 2 meters high
  • Duration: 1 day (on request)
  • 5 to 12 participants
  • Location Outside UNIL

Objectives:

  • Understand the principles of working at height
  • Know the different work positioning and restraint systems and their characteristics
  • Acquire the knowledge and skills required for the use of fall arrest PPE
  • Know the legal bases, obligations and responsibilities
  • Know how to perform rescue procedures
