Production of teaching videos

Teachers who so wish can benefit from advice and support in producing their own multimedia resources (video, podcast, animation) or in using audiovisual equipment (microphones, cameras, smartphones, video booths).

Lending of equipment and Vidéomaton

If required, the CSE can lend you audiovisual equipment for teaching purposes (cameras, microphones, etc.). You can also book the Vidéomaton (by email), a recording station which, after a short training session, allows you to  produce videos nearly independantly (see our training module for more information).

Resources and self-directed training modules

We also provide a number of resources and training modules that you can consult on your own:

Teachers wishing to incorporate educational videos into their teaching can take advantage of the CSE's support to produce a few video clips. Larger-scale video projects can be submitted to the FIP and receive financial support.

As part of this service, video directors and pedagogical advisers will guide you through the process of creating your content, from script writing to filming and final production. The filming and editing of your video clips are carried out by our team.

We can offer a range of formats depending on your needs and the use of the video:

• Green, neutral or natural background videos (in solo or interview mode)
• Skit (with professional or amateur actors)
• Interview, discussion, round table
• Realistic professional situation (with professional or amateur actors), for training purposes 
• In-lab experiment
• Feature report
• Video entirely in motion graphics
• Interactive video

An initial interview is necessary to define the project (objective, deadlines). The application can be made by email to cse@unil.ch.
