Research data management and Open research Data

Research Data Management (RDM) is a complex issue with multiple challenges that vary from one research project to another. It is at the heart of honest, responsible, transparent and high-quality research.

In a nutshell

Good research data management is essential and crucial in many respects:

  • Ensures compliance with the legal, regulatory, ethical and deontological framework;
  • Meets the requirements of universities, funding bodies (SNSF, H2020, RCUK, etc.) and scientific publishers;
  • Guarantees the quality of data and the reproducibility of research;
  • Makes research work and results more visible;
  • Facilitates the sharing and re-use of data (Open Research Data).

Our approach is being developed as part of UNIL's Open Science Strategy.

Our services
