After their thesis has been defended and accepted by the examiners, doctoral candidates have one more administrative step to take before they obtain the title of doctor: they must formally deposit the thesis with the BCU.
The BCU and the UNIL Rectorate will take care of the administrative processing of the file.
The title of doctor is deemed to be acquired once the thesis has been formally deposited and confirmation of the deposit sent to the Graduation Office.
The doctoral degree will be sent to the doctoral graduate by registered letter within three months of the formal deposit.
