Personal work on your own is essential for certain tasks such as memorising, reviewing your notes or reading. On the other hand, it can be usefully supplemented by group work (3 or 4 people maximum), particularly to check your understanding or get you to quote for an oral exam. Sharing your skills and resources allows you to vary the way you learn, so you learn better.
Take a little time to find friends with whom you could work. You don't need to have the same methods, nor do you need to make friends, but remember to agree on the minimum rules: willingness to work together, common goals and values.
The best way to learn is to learn from each other.
There are many advantages to working in a group, but it does require a certain amount of vigilance.
