This apprenticeship enables you to learn various skills, such as : receiving, sorting and distributing mail, drawing up administrative documents (letters and certificates, for example), responding to requests from users (telephone calls, letters, emails) or, if necessary, referring them to other people.
The apprentice also learns to use various IT tools (word processing, lists, tables), manage an accounting system and many other activities, as your trainer's aim is to help you become independent in a small way.
UNIL is a great institution, offering a variety of opportunities for an·e apprentice. For example, you could apply for a work placement in a sector other than your own (faculty department, HR, institute), thereby diversifying your experience. In a context of openness, you will meet many different people at UNIL, learn to work in a multicultural environment and deal with a variety of demands.
To do this job, you need to enjoy dealing with people and working in an office environment, but you also need to be a curious, outgoing person who learns to look for information on your own. It is also important to be able to react easily and to express yourself fluently.
