Mentoring network for women in French-speaking Switzerland

The Réseau romand de mentoring pour femmes supports women who are starting their scientific careers, through one-to-one mentoring and wider meetings.

It has two main aims:

  • Help women overcome practical difficulties related to the organisation of academic life and the realisation of their scientific project.
  • Create a network of contacts between women at universities in French-speaking Switzerland, enabling them to exchange information as well as increase the chances of success of women in the relève.

This mentoring programme offers you ongoing contact with a mentor from Switzerland or abroad. You will be put in touch with a mentor on an individual basis, on the basis of your dossier and your wishes. The mentoring aims to provide the mentee with useful references, strategies and information for an academic career and introduces her to the academic and scientific networks of the mentor and her peers.

This network is being organised in cooperation between the academic offices of the universities of Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, Neuchâtel and EPFL. It is aimed at female researchers in the academic departments of the partner institutions.

The 12th edition of the programme will start in April 2023 and end in December 2024.
