Financial statistics are compiled by extracting data from UNIL's accounting and financial system.
For the purposes of federal statistics and then analytical accounting, external data are also introduced (part of the expenditure of the Cantonal and University Library, data from the research funds of clinical doctors, etc.).
Statistics for internal use endeavour to remain close to known quantities (official accounts of the State of Vaud), while the requirements of the Federal Statistical Office force us to eliminate certain types of expenditure. The switch to costing for cost accounting involves even greater changes, resulting in an even greater divergence between the internal version and the version that complies with national standards.

UNISIS knows the source of funding for each fund in sufficient detail to meet the requirements of the various projects (internal statistics, federal statistics, cost accounting).
