La Route du Tchaï aims to promote cultural and artistic expressions linked to Slavic and South Asian studies. It provides a platform for discussion between the Slavic and South Asian fields and encourages interdisciplinary exchanges.

The association enables its members to organise extra-academic cultural projects with a scientific content that can be broadcast and communicated. It also supports the link between the academic world and the Cité by organising events such as the Prix de l'Orient-Express and the CinéMasala film festival on India.

Anybody who is interested can apply to become a member of the association.

PALA: Psychedelics Association of Lausanne for Awareness aims:

  • The popularisation of scientific knowledge in relation to psychoactive substances, in particular as regards their relevance in clinical psychology;
  • Information and prevention on the methods and risks associated with the use of psychoactive substances for recreational purposes.

To this end, the association organises various types of events such as conferences with specialists on the subject, debates and screenings.

In order to encourage our members to build up a scientific knowledge base on the subject, we organise Papers Clubs where members choose a popularised article which they must then present to the rest of the association's members.

SCOPE is the association of students of English at UNIL who want to play an active part in the life of the section.

What do we do?

Our primary aim is to represent the étudiants·e·s of the section. This is done in several ways:

A student presence is ensured at section assemblies, twice a year. At these meetings, we discuss and take part in decisions concerning the section, for example study plans. We also talk about the budget, and discuss possible problems and improvements in the section.

We also organise festivities, and other purely social activities, usually two or three times a year. These events are open to everyone and provide an excellent opportunity to get together in a non-academic setting.

We also organise conferences. In order to cultivate an interest among students in academic events and topics outside their course, we organise a conférence each semester;rence, usually given by a lecturer from the section, on a subject of interest to them on which they do not usually teach.

We also have two clubs:

  • The creative writing club also meets twice a month to write together on given topics. We then share our texts in a friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere. Our meetings last an hour and a half and are open to everyone!
  • The "Food + Poetry" club also meets every fortnight to read poems on a given theme and eat homemade food together. It's a time for discussion and sharing, and, above all, for discovering new authors·e·s and thèmes.

If you have any questions about the association or our events, you can contact us by email or on social networks.

"There's no point running, you have to start on time".

This time, we're not going to let the turtle get past you! You, pre-master's students, will be coached to be sharp and daring enough to overcome the obstacle-laden paths, and finally reach the grail, your entry into the HEC master's degree! Our aim? To help you integrate with the other pre-master's students as soon as you arrive on the HEC Lausanne campus, so that you don't get lost halfway along the path with the bachelor's students, the turtles who are well advanced in the race. We invite you to join us for a drink, a talk or an afterwork to get to know each other better and create a winning team!
