The acronym LGBTIQ refers to lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, intersex, queer or questioning people.
The Equality Office supports initiatives aimed at promoting de facto equal rights, reducing inequalities and combating discrimination, particularly on the grounds of affective and sexual orientation or gender identity. It is available to UNIL departments, faculties and associations to support measures and projects aimed at preventing discrimination and raising awareness of these issues within the university community. It can also offer support to anyone with questions relating to these issues.
UNIL provides its community with a range of inclusive services and infrastructure. The Bureau de l'galité has grouped together the main offers on campus. The departments in charge are available to provide any further information you may require.
As the campus buildings are renovated, new gender-neutral toilets will be created. At present, some buildings offer gender-neutral toilets, designed and built with this in mind. Some toilets that were initially non-mixed have been refurbished to provide gender-neutral toilets on campus in the meantime.
The installation of these toilets is being considered in line with the plan of intentions pour la création de toilettes inclusives, élaboré par le Bureau de l’égalité de l’UNIL et UNIBAT, en collaboration avec la Fondation Agnodice.
The majority of toilets for people with reduced mobility are gender-neutral.
