Course taught in French
Since its creation in 2016, Gamelab Lausanne has demonstrated that games in their various forms are one of the best tools for bringing academic knowledge into dialogue with action research that aims to disseminate its knowledge to a wide audience.
Co-constructed with the CHUV's Institute of Microbiology, the summer school “From Knowledge to Play: Microbes and Health” aims to familiarize participants with the issues, tools and methods involved in mediating health-related scientific content.
With a wealth of case studies and a strong focus on reflective practice, the school juxtaposes mornings presenting theoretical concepts with afternoons of practical workshops, with the help of speakers from both the academic world and the world of playful creation.
With no prerequisites, this school is open to students of all disciplines. Subject to availability, it is also open to anyone interested in mediation using play devices, whether digital (video games) or non-digital (role-playing games, board games).
Registration will open soon. If you would like to be informed by email when registration opens, please contact summerschools@unil.ch.
