University prizes and honorary doctorates

Madam Vera Michalski-Hoffmann is conferred the degree of Doctor honoris causa of the University of Lausanne.

Vera Michalski-Hoffmann founded and directs Libella, an independent publishing group that brings together several Swiss, French and Polish publishing houses.

Professor Jean Tirole is awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Lausanne.

Jean Tirole is President of the Toulouse School of Economics and an affiliate of IDEI (the Institute of Industrial Economics) and IAST (the Institute for Advanced Study in Toulouse).

Susan L. Brantley has been Professor of Geosciences at Penn State University and Director of the Earth & Environmental Systems Institute in the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences since 2004.
