If you complete all the formal conditions for accessing the VAE procedure (Directive 3.17 de l'UNIL: VAE), the Faculty Commission will call you for an interview after you have submitted your complete VAE file.
The interview provides an opportunity to examine certain elements of your complete VLE application in greater detail.
Following the interview, the VAE Committee determines the knowledge, skills and aptitudes acquired and demonstrated in relation to the chosen course of study, on the basis of the relevant syllabus. These must correspond essentially to the training objectives set out in the various components of the chosen course.
Following this assessment, you may be awarded a certain number of equivalence credits, within the limits set by Directive 3.18.
‘The maximum number of equivalence credits that can be obtained through the VAE procedure corresponds to one third of the credits in the programme from which the dissertation credits have been subtracted for masters degrees (as well as clinical placement credits for masters degrees in medicine)’.
