A benchmark institution at the cantonal, national and international level, the UNIL+EPFL Sports and Wellness (SSUE) service reports to the Sports Delegation (DEL-Sports), UNIL and EPFL. With a focus on sustainable health, it offers a variety of physical activities and gets the academic community moving at its Dorigny Sports Centre.
The UNIL+EPFL Sports and Wellness (SSUE) service aims to promote the development of sport for all and is committed to getting the campus moving, offering no fewer than 130 physical and sporting activities.
The SSUE also supports student-led projects and hosts more than a dozen on-site events every year.
A professional team offers a wide range of health-related services to the community, including massages, physiotherapy and nutritional assessments, tests and advice.
Underpinned by the values of humanism and committed to cultivating excellence, the Dorigny Sports Centre is a place of inclusion, conviviality, discovery, learning and improvement, in which the sports enthusiasts of the Dorigny region are encouraged to take part. Learning and development, sharing, openness, fun, well-being and quality of life also play a key role.
The activities and events offered by the SSUE help to develop links, create synergies and maintain dialogue between the different members of Lausanne's academic community.
The SSUE positions itself as the link between EPFL and UNIL and invites students and staff alike to think together in an open, shared environment that respects individual differences.
With its combination of expertise and high-quality infrastructure, the SSUE provides a fantastic link between the academic and sporting worlds. The department is also at the cutting edge of coaching high-level athletes, while also offering the opportunity to integrate health-related instincts into a sporting career.
The SSUE has a wealth of knowledge and experience to offer.
Knowledge linked to social and technological innovation in the world of sport and physical activity can be found in the Sports and Wellness Centre (CSS) building and in the Smart Training Pavilion, a space dedicated to smart bodybuilding.
Finally, the SSUE is home to the Lausanne University Clubs (LUC), eight autonomous clubs that are attached to the SSUE while, in principle, being affiliated to the federations of their respective disciplines. Whether in regional, national or international competitions, the LUC proudly represent both UNIL and EPFL and wear the colours of Lausanne's academic community.
