Knowing what is expected of you is also part of your the student profession. Course objectives, examination procedures, assessment methods and regulations are often given at the beginning of the year. Ask your teachers and their assistants for this information. And if you have any doubts, don't rely on rumours, trust your teachers - they are the ones who will assess your work.
