Research support provided by the SSP Dean’s Office

Twice a year, the Office of the SSP Dean launches a call for projects. The aim is to support professors, senior lecturers, postdoctoral researchers, and research officers with the preparation and implementation of research projects, the dissemination of completed research, or data collection and processing. Conditions of award, eligibility criteria, the evaluation process, and the objectives of the call for proposals are set out in SSP Directive 4.2 (pp. 3-4).

Current calls in the field of social and political sciences

The “Calls for projects” web page, updated weekly, offers an overview of many research funding opportunities, including:

  • Many live calls for applications for research grants or fellowships from the SNSF, the EU, the University of Lausanne, and other funding agencies. Funders can be found in the column on the right of the webpage, under “Calls by category.”
  • Information on research news and the support available at UNIL. This information can be found in the column on the right of the webpage, under “Calls by category.”
  • The databases of Swiss private foundations and other funding agencies worldwide, available to UNIL’s researchers. These are displayed in the column on the right of the webpage. To access them, you need your UNIL username and password.
  • Presentations of specific funding schemes offered by the SNSF and European programmes, displayed in the column on the right of the webpage.
